Everyone who blogs hopes someone will read what they have written. Often, this simple desire turns into something more, especially if you find the Lord prodding you to take your journey and share with others in a way that encourages and points toward Him.
However, the desire to minister to others via a blog is rarely something that just “happens”. You have to be willing to reach beyond yourself, often in ways that are outside your comfort zone. You have to find your audience; those who truly need to hear what you have been through. You have to do your part to bring the Message to those who need it most.
Here at Raising Arrows, I write on a multitude of subjects, but my heart continues to be focused on 3 kinds of moms: the homeschooling mom, the large family mom, and the grieving mom. You will see it in everything I write. And hopefully, you hear the Lord’s words and not my own in what you read here.
This April 12-14, I have been asked to speak at the 2:1 Conference. This unique homeschool blogging conference is Christ-centered and Gospel-focused. Last year’s conference was amazing and I look forward to being there again with several of my family in tow.
At the 2:1 Conference, I will be sharing how a blogger who wishes to reach out to a specific audience with a specific message for Christ and His Kingdom can build a platform that gives honor and glory to God in mighty ways. I’ll explain how to find your audience, how to reach out to them, and how to encourage them to come back and drink deep from God’s Holy Word where they will find true encouragement and victory. It is my hope and prayer that every Christian blogger would want to reach far beyond their little corner of cyberspace and touch the hearts of others everywhere!

I am definitely not one who has the calling to write a blog, but I am so thankful that the Lord called you! I appreciate how I am challenged and encouraged. I know the internet can have it’s negatives but I have to say I am thankful for the resources that are available through it. I find helpful info. for marriage, parenting, homeschooling, my walk with Christ, etc. I so appreciate the time that people put into posting helpful tips and videos. My daughter taught herself how to crochet from a youtube video! Also, your blog creates a connection of community and provides fellowship for a lot of stay-at-home moms who might feel alone. It’s nice to read the comments and know that we are all in the same boat together!

God bless you as you welcome home the new precious one – there is a pic of our brand new bouncing baby boy (little cousin) on my page right now – I’m a proud aunt – longing for “just ONE more” 🙂
