Breakfast Apple Fritters

Ingredients

  • 1 c flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 c milk
  • 1 1/2 c finely chopped apples

Instructions

  • In a medium sized mixing bowl, stir together dry ingredients.
  • Add in beaten egg and milk. Pour into dry ingredients and stir until batter is smooth.
  • Gently stir in apples.
  • Drop by spoonfuls into hot fat (375°). I use a skillet, but you could use a deep fat fryer.
  • Fry fritters until golden brown on both sides.
  • Remove to paper towel lined plate and sprinkle with sugar.
