You shall keep the Feast of Booths seven days, when you have gathered in the produce from your threshing floor and your winepress. You shall rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, the Levite, the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your towns. For seven days you shall keep the feast to the Lord your God at the place that the Lord will choose, because the Lord your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that you will be altogether joyful.
~Deuteronomy 16: 13-14
We often believe it is indulgent to feast. It is one of those “guilty pleasures” because surely we must be straight-laced and driven at all times.
But the Lord says, “FEAST!”
We are to celebrate His provision and the joy we have in Him.
During this season of the Feast of Booths, gather your family near, feast on the harvest and rejoice in the Lord!
{note: Today is the Day of Atonement for the Jewish people. They often begin to build their “booth” after their fast is broken at sundown on this day. Please take time to pray today for the Jewish unbelievers.}
Weekends in the Word is a ministry of Raising Arrows meant to offer a time of worship and encouragement specifically for those mommies who find themselves, due to circumstances beyond their control, unable to attend worship services with other believers. However, all are welcome here each weekend to feast on His Word.

Thank you for this ministry! I am one of those mommies who can’t make it to church. Please pray also for my unbelieving husband (who doesn’t want me to attend church.) For the time being I will REJOICE in the Lord and His perfect plan. My husband will be saved, per the Word…Me and my household shall be saved. I will stand on it and believe! We’ve been married 9 1/2 yrs now. I gave my life to Christ 2 1/2 yrs ago 🙂

Definitely praying, Theresa!
Martha says
This is a hard call for you. I have spent the last couple of years reading 1 Peter – especially the last part of chapter 2 – it starts with servants – then what Jesus endured and then (Chapter 3) … likewise you wives. I put my name there – likewise Martha!! Sarah’s husband twice put her in another man’s possession – to save his own life!!! I might have done it the first time – but the second time I would be saying, “This did not work the first time – maybe we should try something else!” Not Sarah !!!
I admire you for your joyful, submissive and peaceful trust that GOD has a plan that is bigger than you and your husband!! Fight bitterness and the martyr complex. Fight thinking that you are better than he is 😀 Respect and honour him in your heart, your face and your words!!
GOD richly bless you with His fruit as result of being filled with HIS HOLY SPIRIT – Galatians 5:22-23
