So, this past week, I found myself rather motivated by cooler weather and more energy to actually tackle some cleaning and organizing projects. I also found myself on Pinterest a lot more than usual searching for ideas and inspiration!
I started a Pregnancy and Babies board for my ideas, but since we don’t have a formal nursery (haven’t had one since Baby #2), a lot of what I see for baby spaces won’t work. I need more organizational ideas than anything, so I started a board for that!
And of course, there’s my Cloth Diapering board because I am on a serious cloth diaper making kick (hoping to have pics and a post next week or the week after!) I’ve also been mulling over how to organize them. I thought I was going to go with one plan and then reverted to how I used to store them since I already owned the stackers, thus making it entirely free.

I’m also realizing between moving, miscarrying, getting pregnant again and dealing with morning sickness, I never really got around to decorating much. I’m trying to take a fresh look at my blank, boring walls and think up ways to make them happier without spending much money. Maybe I need a Pinterest board for that!
Here’s that ticker and a few more fun facts…
*My sonogram is next week! So excited! If you are wondering do we find out gender or not, here’s our very wishy-washy non-committal answer: We don’t let them tell us, but we aren’t against looking for ourselves. 😉
*I am really looking forward to Autumn. We got a taste of it this past week and boy, was it lovely! I am thankful for air conditioning, but I sure do prefer the crisp outside air.
*I missed a few days of iron and my PVCs came back with a vengeance! I’ve dealt with these since Baby #4, but didn’t know what was going on until Baby #6 when I landed in the ER one night because they would not stop. They are basically harmless extra heart beats that do not push blood; however, they do make you extremely tired and irritable. They often happen to pregnant women and especially those suffering from anemia.
I can’t wait for next week’s update when there will be a sweet little sonogram pic to share!

I nested at about 18 weeks by making cloth diapers too. Somewhere in the 2nd trimester, I lost interest when it came time to sew up the boring soakers. Now I’m 32 weeks and MUST get on that. Otherwise, I have a TON of cute flannel outters that are going to go to waste!

Soakers…definitely boring! lol. You can do it! Post pics on your blog and link up next Monday for motivation! 🙂

Amy,
Sounds like you are doing well…I’m very excited for you to feel good and to have the energy to do some nesting. I hope you get to have lots of fun playing and doing those little details for the baby. It can be so therapeutic to get lost in a project…something mom’s don’t always get to do much! Have you seen those neat wall decals they have out now? I’ve never used them but there are so many cute ones and they look like they may go on quick. Thanks for the heads up on the Super Hero link. Lots of people are going to find out what so many of us already know & appreciate about you!! 🙂

Aww, you are so sweet!

Thanks for sharing about the PVCs. I hadn’t heard about them before but I know exactly what you are talking about. I’ve been having them a lot during this pregnancy and have also a very high heartbeat. I’m at 110beats/minutes when resting, no wonder I feel out of breath at the slightest activity… I’ll follow your advice and start taking vitamins and iron (which I haven’t taken yet this pregnancy because trying to swallow pills made me throw up).

I’m so excited for you! I dare not enter the world of Pintrest for fear it will suck me in, so good on you for having the discipline to be able to use it. My nesting is taking the form of jettisoning belongings to make our next *possible* move easier. Our Ultrasound is in 4 and a half weeks and this will be the first baby where we actually TRY to do the wait-and-see method. How did women in Old Testament times stand the suspense! Glad you and yours are doing well!
Amy says
Thankfully, Pinterest doesn’t suck me in too much, but it is a helpful tool when you are looking something and need to save ideas for later! I am so excited to see this little one again!

We had 8, and never knew the gender. Not once. And my oldest is 27, so I don’t think I could be considered “old testament”. Lol

I had to laugh when I saw your title. When I was in my super sick, super tired first 13 weeks, I would look at pinterest during times of not being able to do much else. I have a bunch of to-myself emails title “pinterest for nesting” (I don’t do facebook or pinterest or stuff like that myself).
At 14 weeks, I’m just starting to feel a little better (sickness/fatigue are definitely holding on longer this time) so I’m hoping to get to my pinterest stuff soon.
Hope you find lots of really good ideas to motivate you!!

There was no way I could do Pinterest with the morning sickness. Way too much food on there!

I can’t wait for the ultrasound pic! I need to be doing a little decorating myself.

Thanks for the info about PVCs…I take albuterol sometimes and this is the first pregnancy that my iron has been a bit low, so if it does happen, at least I won’t have to totally freak out!
