God is the God of big things and God is the God of little things. To some this particular answered prayer may seem little…to me, it is big. To God, it was just another day caring for one of His own.
Those of you who read regularly, remember last Wednesday in THIS POST how I was lamenting our upcoming move and all that entailed. NEVER did I imagine what would take place the very next day and on into the weekend…
On Thursday, I packed up my mom and all the kiddos (as my husband was away on business) and looked at two more houses. They both had potential to the tune of $200 more per month than we are currently paying in rent. Not ideal, but doable. I told the landlord I would be back on Monday with my husband in tow so we could finalize which house we wanted.
Upon returning home, I found a message on my answering machine from a friend saying she had a friend looking for an investment property and wondered if I was interested in staying in the house I was in. ARE YOU KIDDING?! You mean no packing, no transferring mail, electric, gas, phone, etc., no extra $200, no asking my brain and body to work overtime? OH YEAH, I’m interested in staying!
Next thing I knew my friend and her friend were on my doorstep. They took a tour of the house and by the next day (Friday), an offer was on the table and over the weekend, the papers were signed! Talk about fast!
And today, I had the express pleasure of calling up the landlord of the other houses and telling him we would not be taking his property after all!
What an awesome God we serve!

You know God already knew what was going to happen. Why is it that we (Especially me) have such a hard time trusting him?
We do serve an amazing God. And for all those big or little things we give him the praise.

Hey, how’s that for an answer to prayer?! I think it’s so neat that God is a God of unlimited resources and while you could never have even imagined that happening God had it all worked out!

God cares about the little things, too! He counts the hairs on our heads and watches the sparrows. A house deal? No problem for Him!
Praise the Lord you can stay where you are. Breathe easy and relax.
