So, Lynnette at Dancing Barefoot came up with this spur-of-the-moment blog party and since I am all about spur-of-the-moment, I thought I’d join in! Those of you doing the Creative Writing Crash Course should join in too…it will help get those creative juices flowing!
1. What is your favorite thing to snack on while you’re blogging?
milk chocolate chips and peanuts (mixed together in a glass bowl)
2. What is one thing you wouldn’t want to live without?
my Bible…it’s pages contain my life scrawled out in notes and underlines
3. Beach, Mountains or Farm? Where would you live if you had a choice?
well, if I’m want my husband to come with me, it had better be the mountains!
4. What’s your least favorite chore/household duty?
cleaning the kitchen
5. Who do people say you remind them of?
someone they know
6. Prefer parties and socializing or staying at home with the fam?
hmmm…like them all!
7. What’s your all time favorite movie?
Gone with the Wind
8. Do you sleep in your make up or remove it like a good girl every night?
yikes…do I have to answer this? yeah, well, there’s your answer. *blush* (pun intended!)
9. Do you have a hidden talent or a deep desire to learn something that you’ve never had a chance to learn? What is it?
I’ve always wanted to learn to play the guitar.
10. What’s one strange thing you’re really good at?
popping my cheek while singing the song, “Lollipop, Lollipop, oh, Lolli, lollipop…” My kids marvel at my talent.
11. What first attracted you to your spouse?
the puppy he was holding
12. What is something you love to smell?
cinnamon (oh, and I really like the smell of gasoline too)
13. Tell something about you that you know irritates people.
my forgetfulness
14. When you have extra money (HA!) what’s the first thing you think to do with it?
buy books or fabric or hit the thrift store (where you can sometimes manage to buy both those things plus much more!) I’m all about the biggest bang for my buck!
15. Are you a silent laugher or a loud laugher? What makes you laugh the hardest?
somewhere in between…I laugh the hardest when my husband and I get together with friends. My husband is just naturally funny and everyone gets to feeding off each other and we end up laughing all evening! I love it!
16. Where is your favorite place to shop?
A thrift store in Kingman, Kansas our family calls “Granny’s Store.” Ty’s Granny goes there every Friday, so when we can, we try to join her.
17. What’s one thing you’d do more often if you had more time?
Scrapbook
18. Are you a big spender or frugal?
I’m schizophrenic
19. Who is your favorite character of all time (from a movie or book)? (Can’t be real)
“Melanie Hamilton” from Gone with the Wind…long ago, I would have said “Scarlett”, but I’ve grown up and Melanie’s quiet grace is much more appealing to me.
20. Would you want to be famous?
nope…but almost famous would be good (I just don’t want “Take a Look at Amy’s Flab” splashed all across every magazine in the checkout line, ya know?)

Michelle (She Looketh Well) says
Hi Amy, great to get to know you better!
Yeah, Michelle’s flab would definitely be a reason to not be famous! LOL Of course, if we were, we would probably be under immense pressure to be anorexic . . .nah! I like food too much!
Have a great day!

Hi! Stopping by from Lynnettes.. Great answers, I loved reading. You reminded me that I haven’t seen “Gone With the Wind” probably since I was a kid and watched it with my mom. I may have to rent that from blockbuster the next time I go. Have a great week! 🙂

I am going to be sooo tired tonight, all this new blog stuff going on! I will be staying up late to do my assignment, because that is the only time I have to do it! I cant imagine a better cause to be exhausted from at the time!! Thanks Amy, my creative juices are just trickling right now, but will be hopefully flowing over later!

Loved your answers! I should probably make more notes in my Bible. I have a great journal that I use instead. As terrible as this is, I’ve NEVER seen Gone with the Wind! Maybe I’ll rent it this weekend and watch it!!!
I’m visiting from Lynnette’s.

The mountains! My marriage is the same way, I’m a farm girl at heart. When we were last house shopping, we found a house with big picture windows on the east and west sides of the house. One side had mountains, the other side had a cornfield. We would have been fabulously happy with the scenery.
The house itself was built for a single person or a no-kids-ever couple. Very trendy feeling.

Sounds like we enjoy the same type of snack while we blog! (but I know you’re not a big pretzel gal) I would like peanuts too but don’t usually buy them for some reason?
I wouldn’t want to live without my bible either and about a gazillion other things – what a stupid question I asked. ha!
You KNOW next time you’re here you’ll have to do the Lollipop thing. hee hee Seriously though – I wanna hear!
I only saw Gone with the Wind one time when I was horribly sick with the flu. I wasn’t a huge fan of it personally – but maybe it was because I was so sick.
Well, I better run. I just wanted to pop by and say HOWDY! (Although I NEVER say that!) HAHA!
See ya!

Loved reading your answers! I love your blogging snack, except I have to eat dark chocolate because of food allergies. Chocolate and peanuts are such a yummy combo! 🙂

Great blog, very inspiring. I love your snack idea. I know during fall around here we snack on peanuts, plain m&m’s and candy corn together. We call it “crack” candy because it’s so addictive!
I look forward to returning here!
