I can hardly believe little Creed is 6 weeks already! How time flies!
I see so much of my precious Emily in him, but I also see the other children in his tiny features as well.

I love watching the other children oooh and aaah over this little guy. Yes, my children think babies are cool! Even the 15 year old, who is often found holding him and telling him how cute he is.
This past week Creed started cooing and smiling, so our days are spent trying to make him talk and trying to catch his smiles on camera. We probably look terribly silly all gathered around the baby making faces and saying nonsensical things in high pitched voices, but it’s all worth it the moment he gives us a glimmer of a smile and says, “Goo…”

I also wanted to share a photo of the beautiful afghan my friend Christina of Bundled in Prayer sent me…

The first afghan I ever received from Christina was in memory of Emily. She has made an afghan for every one of my children since and they are all so beautiful and unique. I cherish them dearly.
Tomorrow, I’ll be back here with a post on babies and sleep. That is, if I manage to get enough sleep to coherently write the post. 😉

He is so beautiful. I’m right there with the lack of sleep. There are nights my Lucy gives me almost 6 hours, but she makes up for it with nursing like crazy. My oldest will be 15 on Sunday and he adores his newest sister. He didn’t really want to hold her, but once he did he fell in love with her and is constantly asking to hold her and how she is doing. It is a precious and beautiful thing. He like my husband and father-in-law have a love for small babies. It is such a blessing to see this passed onto my boys.

Hi Amy! We have chatted in the past a couple of times, but you may not remember me. I know u r a busy lady, so I understand if u don’t have time for personal reply 🙂 We seem to have babies together, and into thousand and six my almost 3-year-old was found dead in his bed. I have grieved with you through the years, and praising our Lord for his faithfulness. I am writing you to talk to you about the baby name creed. I am having baby number nine in May, Lord willing, and love the name creed. I am wondering if you can share how you chose it, and what meaning it has to you personally. Also any nicknames or issues you had with the name, if any. This will be my 8th son, and I have Ving, hunter, tucker, Isaac, Isaiah, Eden grace, Judah & Zion. Thanks & Blessings, Darci@vingster.com

Hello Darci! We chose it for 2 reasons. First of all, we consider it to be a testimony to a Christian’s creed, what they live by, who they are as a believer. Secondly, we often visit a small town in CO named Creede – it is a very happy place for us. the only nickname he has is Creedy. People are very intrigued by his name. Some people think we named him after a band, and you might run into ppl thinking you name your child after the movie, but I love the name, and am very happy we chose it.
