This blog is full of memories. Emily is everywhere. Her story, her life, her beauty permeates my world and thus permeates this blog. But some of you don’t have a place like this to write and remember. Some of you lost loved ones years ago and wonder if it is even acceptable to talk about it anymore. Some of you would love to have a place to remember and honor those you’ve lost.
It is from this need to remember and honor, that Valley Of Life was born.
I met Miri, the founder of Valley of Life via Twitter. I was intrigued by what her site was offering…a place to write a beautiful tribute to a deceased family member, a place to honor their life, a place to remember.
So often, we dwell on the death and lose sight of the life. It is not my child’s death I want people to remember. It is her life and the blessings she brought us. I want people to see how her death was not the end, but a continuation of everything God has blessed us with.
Valley of Life offers a chance to share with others the life your loved one lived. It is not a stale, static obituary. It is a place you can infuse with the real life of the person you cared about and lost.
So, please, if you have ever lost a loved one and wanted to create a memorial fitting to their memory and honoring of their life, take a moment to visit Valley of Life. It is free of charge – as I believe all grief ministries should be. Miri is quite friendly and helpful if you need anything, and there are many excellent resources on the site.
It does a grieving heart good to remember.

As you know, I have struggled with my dad’s death at times. Thanks for pointing this ministry out to us. I do have a flower garden in his memory. Thanks again.
