Love your tips on travelling and car road trips. We threw up a stretchy mesh on the ceiling of the van tied by the grab handles. We keep our jackets and misc. individual needs (headphones, books) while driving. We also use garbage paper lunch bags for collecting garbage. But lately its a bit too small, so thank you for the tip on the collapasable garbage bags. We too use audiobooks instead of videos. I remember travelling by bus once for a school event, and they put a video on, I didn’t see a thing on that trip but movies and felt cheated when we arrived. The audiobooks is great for littles and bigs (with headphones to improve hearing). My kids don’t like car rides (10min-6 hrs lol!), so it is tiring and miserable sometimes, but a few tweaks made a 6hr trip bearable for us! So glad to hear I’m not the only one who plans like crazy to make the trip smooth and enjoyable.

Great idea using the stretchy mesh! It really does help to plan so that EVERYONE (myself included!) enjoys the ride!
