My childhood memories of Christmas are full of sights, sounds, smells, and tastes. This festive hot punch is one of those tastes.

I remember the old green 30-cup percolator on the counter, filled with this wonderfully delicious punch. I remember filling my cup again and again over the course of our Christmas Eve celebrations. It was Christmas in a cup!

Tomorrow I will be making this punch for the homeschool mom’s group that meets in my home once a month. (I don’t have a 30-cup percolator (someday, I hope), so I make it in a large pot by simply putting my spices in a reusable tea bag or cheesecloth.)
UPDATE: My sweet mama bought me that 30 cup percolator for Christmas! Thanks mom!
Tomorrow night we will sit and chat and drink in the season – literally. I am so looking forward to it!
Won’t you enjoy a cup with us?

This sounds delicious!!! Thank you for posting. I pinned it. I’m excited to make this. Just yesterday I was searching for punch recipes! 🙂 This year we’ve had so much fun starting new traditions, including doing an advent calendar& readings, and decorating gingerbread houses. This punch sounds like a delicious thing to have as an alternative to hot cocoa. I believe my husband and kids and family will love it! Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you and your family!

This reminds me a lot of the one we make. We love a hot mulled cider and have it at least once a year. It is a nice break from hot chocolate. I’ve never tried it with cranberries. We will have to try it this year. As it gets colder, you can never have to many hot drinks.

Do you use unsweetened cranberry juice or sweetened?
Amy says
I use sweetened.
