No Christmas baby for us. The contractions have been steady for a little over 24 hours, but they vary greatly in intensity. Last night, I had a couple in a row that made me think there was no way I was going to make it to morning. Then, they would ease up. I’ve had some that feel like they are contraction-wanna-be’s, never quite becoming a “real” contraction. I know full well that all this can change in a blink of an eye, so for now I am trying to be patient and busy.
Tomorrow is supposed to be a beautiful day, so I’m planning on doing some walking. I’m feeling very cagey, so getting out will feel good!
I realized tonight that I had set my sights on December 25th because of how much my husband wanted a Christmas baby. He told me tonight that it is ok…all he really wants is the Lord’s timing.
We are one of those oddball families who let babies come when babies come, and while this causes a bit of an inconvenience on those around us (not to mention ourselves at times!), I’ve never regreted the excitement of finally heading to the hospital with These-Are-It Contractions.
Yours truly,
A lady in waiting 😉
