Last night I went grocery shopping for some last minute Christmas and birthday goodies. My oldest daughter is turning the big 13 tomorrow and since we let our children choose all the meals for the day of their respective birthdays (they are also exempt from chores), I needed to pick up a few things to round out her requests and our weekend Christmas festivities.
Today, I’m featuring some Christmas goodies from last week’s link up. We’ll take the next two weeks off (for Christmas Day and then New Year’s Day is my son’s 5th birthday!) but we’ll be right back here again on the 8th of January in a brand new year!
First up, is some yummy (and good for you) crock pot hot chocolate from Practical Stewardship:
Next, a chocolate cherry thumbprint cookie from Loves Bakes Good Cakes:
Another sweet treat are these chocolate peanut butter bars from The Sunny Patch:
And because this post is making my blood sugars go haywire, how about an easy Christmas day crock pot meal with some protein in it and featuring a favorite of mine – pepperjack! – crock pot pepperjack chicken from Stacy Makes Cents:
The post with the most clicks from last week proves once again that my readers LOVE anything that has to do with babies! It was a testimonial post entitled Birth Control, Fertility, and My Testimony from Brittany at Sweet Country Roots.
Now, it’s your turn! Time to link up your posts (limit it to 3 please!) and read other wonderful posts! {If you are reading via email, click here.}

I’m so glad I stopped by here for the link-up! I can’t wait to try the chicken recipe, and the desserts look yummy, too! Also, I read your wonderful article in Encouraging Word publication this month, and I was so encouraged by it. Thank you for the wonderful weekly link-up and for all you do. God bless you and your family with a peace-filled Christmas and your daughter with a happy birthday, too. Lord willing, our son, Zachary, will turn 13 on the day after Christmas, so needless to say, he is beyond excited!
