Take it from a former bread addict – some meals just scream for bread. I’m not sure I am even capable of eating a bowl of soup without some yummy bread to compliment it. But…bread and my waistline don’t get along much. In fact, I’m pretty sure it was all that delicious bread (with a few sugary snacks thrown in) that packed the weight on me in the first place, and taking it off has required me to get a little creative because as I said earlier – some meals NEED bread!
Thankfully, there are tons of lower carb bread options out there! Not all are low in calories, so be aware of that, especially if you are tracking! But, here’s a few of my absolute favorites that keep me happy and satisfied in the gimme-some-bread department!
Easy Sprouted Whole Wheat Rolls (E)
This E bread option uses sprouted grain, so your tummy doesn’t get the full carb effect.
Plus, they are super yummy!
Blender Bread (FP)
This is a low calorie favorite! This recipe is close,
but I really prefer the one in the Trim Healthy Table cookbook! (page 242)
Cloud Bread (S)
With a light and airy texture that holds together well, this “bread” is super versatile!
(Also called “Oopsie Bread.”)
Keto Biscuits (S)
Simple ingredients make this a hit!
Better Than Red Lobster Biscuits (S)
This name doesn’t lie! These are AMAZING! (and not low calorie at all!)
(She also calls them Cheesy-Cheese Garlic Biscuits.)
Trim Heathy Pancakes (E)
I never add the stevia to these, and think they are great just the way they are!

Add some seasoning to the batter, and you have a wonderful complimentary bread for any E dish!
Easy “Sourdough” Bread (E)
This cold-fermented bread is super simple to whip up, and is a family favorite!
So, friends, it’s time to enjoy your bread with your meal once again!

Is any amount of sourdough bread allowed on in a S meal? I’m beginning to master it but didn’t want to overdo. How much is allowed fir E meal or snack?

Here’s a good article from THM that will help you since I’m really not an expert on this matter – https://trimhealthymama.com/ezine-march-2020-home/ezine-march-2020-trim-topic/
