This week was a little good and a little bad.
First, the good – the weather cooled down! I have a friend who says my love of Fall is “inspiring.” Our whole family is enamored with Fall. In fact, all you have to do is spend a little time following my Pinterest account to see just how much we enjoy Fall! I’m pinning things and preparing for crafts and snacks and other Autumnish things. (yeah, I just made up that word 😉 )
OK, so the bad news…
The fuel pump in our van went out. Suddenly. One day I noticed it seemed to be cutting out every so often. The next day it wouldn’t turn over. Thankfully, we didn’t get stranded anywhere but our own driveway, but let me tell you, being without a vehicle and living as far out in the country as we do has been a bit on the difficult side. Thankfully, Ty works in the city and has access to just about everything we need.
Oh, and a fuel pump on a 15 passenger van? Not cheap. Just in case you were wondering.
In baby news, I received a box of maternity clothes from ThreadUp this past week! That was soooo exciting! I was in desperate need of some new maternity clothes! I’ll be posting more about some of the maternity finds I’ve managed to come across this pregnancy in a subsequent post.
I’ve been feeling really good and sleeping well too! I do have to rest during the day, but I see this season in my life as God-given rest. I’m not good at slowing myself down, so God gives me little blessings to slow me down. 😉
So, how are all my pregnant friends doing? Is it cool yet where you live?

You look just beautiful, Amy! So glad you are doing so well. And yes, we love fall too! High of 53 tomorrow and I cannot wait! 🙂

I think it is the big van disease. Our fuel pump on our 12 passenger van also went this week. My dh is replacing it tonight. So very thankful to have a wonderful husband that knows how to do these things!!

Fuel pumps are the worst! So simple but so expensive! We have replaced one in our pick-up (as well as just about every other part and rebuilding the motor, it has over 300K miles on it!).
As for being pregnant I am loving this cooler weather! Fall is also my favorite season and it is especially beautiful here in Maine! I am due in 8 days so the heat relief was welcome since I will be having a home birth and we don’t have a/c 😉 You are looking wonderful, enjoy those new clothes!

Yeah, it’s definitely van disease as someone mentioned above because our 10 passenger just had something go out on it too! That was no fun. You look great! I’m excited to read about your maternity finds. I just had my monthly appointment today & am a few weeks behind you – not feeling too bad right now, enjoying the cooler weather too! Looking forward to big comfy sweaters. 🙂

Hello! I haven’t checked on your blog for awhile but I am glad to hear you are going well. This week I am 24 weeks and it is newly Spring (I am Australian). I’ll be giving birth in the middle of summer, which gets very hot where we are- but I’ve done it before!
Must be the week for fuel pumps. Ours died too in our mini-van, and yes- we were stranded for the week and are feeling the pinch financially now too. But we are so thankful that it was only the fuel tank! If it wasn’t we would have been looking at electrical or computer issues and that would have been so much worse!
Praying for your little one!

Thrilled to hear God gave you another baby. I read your story sometime last year after I started TrimHealthy Mama. I wept and cried with you. So thrilled to see God did indeed visit your womb again. I PRAY He will give me and my husband Grace and visit my womb too. Thrilled for you guys..God is so God. Blessings Anne.

You look radiant!! After a week of 90 degree heat and an AC unit that’s about to go (I.e. We’re using it as little as possible), it has finally started to cool down! I cannot wait for fall. I have been wanting to decorate, however my husband says we should wait until the weather is cooler. *sigh* I’m 28 weeks and 6 days!! Getting so much closer to the end! It’s been flying by (thanks to homeschooling as well as having 5 kids! Haha!)! Feeling good, although I do wish I got better sleep at night. 🙂

Happy to hear you are feeling better and sleeping well! You look radiant :). This is the first pregnancy that I had heard of Thred Up and found some nice things on it too.
This was the week for 15 passenger van expenses! I could not believe how much a seat belt cost!!!!! We were able to get one used, that was still not cheap and then we had to go to the dealer for the other. OUCH!!! Necessary though for our little blessing on the way :).
Have a wonderful week. Looking forward to the next update.

Thankfully it’s starting to cool down here. Highs in the 70s the first of the week, in the 60s tomorrow going forward! I’m 38 wks 4 days, and scheduled for a c section next Thursday. (Unless baby boy comes on his own first.) I’m anxious about recovering from a third c section, and want all to go well there so we can try for another baby asap. Glad to see you’re feeling better, and sorry about your fuel pump. There are times when it seems like it’s always sonething, aren’t there? But God is good and makes a way.

I am in OK and the weather here has been nice but is expected to become more fall like this weekend. I am only 17 wks along so the weather has not been bothering me yet. 😉
