Our family recently went sandhill plum picking. This yearly summer ritual has become much more than a family outing. It has become a way for us to bless others. All year long, we take jelly to friends and family. We are able to bless them from the bounty of our home. Our jelly becomes a housewarming gift, a Christmas gift, a thanks for having us over gift. We are sharing something dear to us…a piece of ourselves, if you will.
In this short video (which includes a super cute Aspen!), I share ways you can bless others from the bounty of your home. Make this the little personal touch you bring into the lives of others. I can guarantee you will be blessed as much as you bless others!
ps – if you watch the video, listen for a little surprise I have for you…”Raising Adventure!”

That was very inspirational! Thank you! And so glad that Aspen was in the video. Just makes you seem like a real Mom, doing real Mom things. That can be lacking in the blogosphere. Now I am going to go make some homemade bread for our new neighbors!

I am sure they will enjoy it! And yes, we are hoping to have more “real life” videos. No, they aren’t as polished as some out there, but they are real, and I hope they are encouraging! 🙂

So I took the bread over, and on the way it hit me – what if they don’t eat wheat or gluten or anything that naturally occurs in bread?!?! But, thankfully, they LOVE bread and seemed genuinely grateful. But seriously, your post this morning is what pushed me to do it. We all need encouragement of many kinds, from the simple and mundane suggestions to the huge pushes. You seem to offer the full spectrum on your blog.

In this day and age, gluten free is a concern! But, I’ve decided it is the thought behind it that counts, and I should share no matter what. 🙂 (and thank you for your kind words, Andrea!)

Your new blog looks amazing, got to explore it a bit this morning! Thanks for the reminder on simple ways to bless others.

Thank you! It’s a work in progress, but my husband has a real heart for doing things exciting and interesting with your family in tow. It can be difficult, but it is so rewarding too!

We do this with our maple syrup.
