Today, I am at Holy Spirit-Led Homeschooling sharing with Jamerrill how God Brought Me Kicking and Screaming to a World Full of Blessings. I am so thankful He got a hold of my heart and opened it up wide to accept whatever children come into our family. Click over to read more!

I really appreciated reading this today. I gave birth to our second daughter last week and you’re right this motherhood thing is hard. My husband went back to work today, and so I was intimidated by the thought of being here alone with a newborn and a toddler that I cried in the shower. That being said, you wouldn’t believe the number of people that have told me how beautiful our newborn is, and then in the same conversation asked if we’re done having children.
By all accounts this pregnancy couldn’t have happened at a worse time, financially or otherwise for us. But we made the decision to allow God to direct our family size, and here is another little blessing from him. I look at her sleeping in her little bouncer chair beside me, and I can’t imagine what I’d have missed out on if I’d have said no thanks. I’d have never known her and that just seems unimaginable right now. So no, I don’t believe we are done and I am looking forward to being introduced to many more little people that I wouldn’t want to live without. Thanks for writing your guest post on this. It was just the inspiration and pick me up I needed while the girls napped. 🙂

I just read your whole story about your journey to letting God direct the size of your family. It was really encouraging to me as we are hoping to add a fourth child to our family (and sometimes I feel discouraged, as I’m not pregnant yet). As I read, I was reminded that God is doing things “behind the scenes,” things I can’t see, and that He has my best interests in mind. If I will just let go of MY plan and the way I think things should go and trust Him, the peace that will come! Thanks for sharing.
