Take a cute homemade robot, fantastic flying scenes, and a young entrepreneurial filmmaker, and you have one fun holiday movie by the name of ELFI!
Our family sat down to watch this film from Adam Bunker of Bunker Family Films last week, and were so thrilled with how well done this short film was that we were more than happy to endorse it here on Raising Arrows! Honestly, I have seen a lot of independent films from homeschoolers over the years, and this one takes the cake for visual effects! We even got to see how they did the flying scenes on the Bonus Features (not available with Amazon Video)! Our favorite parts of the movie were the take offs and flying scenes, so it was neat to see how they did it.
The film is set at Christmastime (watch for the hilarious landing onto an inflatable Santa!). Ricky has just finished his masterpiece – a robot name ELFI – and introduces it to his brother, William. Not wanting to limit ELFI’s potential, Ricky gives him free reign to take whatever he learns and do with it as he pleases – which as you can imagine, quickly becomes disastrous! The two brothers end up using another of Ricky’s inventions to fly around the city in search of ELFI when he goes awry. Again, super cool visual effects!
If you are looking for a fun family movie, or have kids who are fascinated by robots, or even have a budding filmmaker who could benefit from seeing solid computer-generated imagery in action from another homeschooled teen, this movie is for your family!

Hi Amy,
I was wondering that too. The links don’t work and I can’t seem to find Bunker Family Films by googling. I think my children would enjoy this especially my “techies.”

I’ll see if I can contact the family who put this out and see what happened! Thanks for letting me know!

They told me the site is down, but you can still order via Amazon here: https://amzn.to/2NCBR3j

Amy,
Thank you for checking on this so quickly!
Did they mention whether the dvd’s would be for sale again this Christmas? The download will be fine but I would love to have the bonus footage.
Thanks again.

All they said was that they were working on the site, and they would send me a link when it was back up. 🙂
