As homeschool convention season approaches, I am getting more and more emails from readers asking for advice on how to prepare for a convention and get the most out of their experience. I already had several posts on this topic, but rather than continue to link to those posts, I thought I’d just compile it all into an ebook and offer it here for all of you to download in .pdf form!

Thank you so much for the free download. This will only be our second year going to a convention, so your tips will help a lot. I am definitely going to take a binder this year to help keep track of everything. Excellent idea!

Great advice! I’m looking forward to our state conference next month. Our family has been quite a few years and I agree with your survival techniques. Sometimes I have felt overwhelmed, like I’m drinking from a firehose! I also like to order the “tapes.” A few days ago I just listened to a session from two years ago. It’s so much more applicable now, and it’s helpful for us with our 15 year old/high school son. The workshops and materials you need changes as your kids get older. You do build up your library as you go which makes shopping get easier over the years.
I would just like to add two things to your advice if you don’t mind:
1. Wear comfortable shoes.
2. Buy a motorhome before you go! Oh how I try not to covet those families that just walk to the parking lot to eat their lunch in their motorhome. I just know they are laying down with their shoes off! Ha! 🙂

LOL about the motorhome! LOVE IT!

I apologize with the entry #66. I tried several times to link up with difficulty. It would not give me the option to link from my blog post so I tried using the direct url to the picture. I thought it worked, but I guess not! Then finally it stuck with #67.

Thanks for hosting the link up! This is my first time joining, and I’m sharing two posts on extended breastfeeding this week. God bless your week!

Thanks so much for the free download. I’ve been to several conferences but you always forget stuff! I love the idea of the binder! Working on mine right now before I head out tonight to the NCHE Conference in North Carolina!
