Last week I didn’t update because I was at my sonogram getting to see our little one wiggle around! What a joy! I never tire of baby feet and profile pictures that make the anticipation of meeting the new baby that much greater!
And while we did look to see if we could tell what gender baby is, we never let the sonographer tell us, and we prefer to keep what we *think* we see to ourselves as much as possible. 😉
Aspen is totally oblivious to the fact that mommy’s tummy isn’t just some sudden freak appendage. She’s still very much the baby of the family. And no, I’m not worried about what she’ll think or do when the new baby arrives. We just don’t make it that big of a deal.
My nausea has taken on the form of heartburn…sort of. It’s difficult to explain, but it’s manageable. I am taking enzymes, and they have helped enough to make it bearable.
I am still wrapping by belly with the woven wrap, but I still have not made a video to demonstrate the 3 different ways I do it. Someday soon…I promise!
There are a few purchases I need to make this time around due to some flood damage. I bought this Pack ‘n Play (it comes in a ton of different colors, and I like that it has a lot of extras with it that will make our small space more efficient!)
I’m also planning to cloth diaper again, so I’ve been searching the various used sale sites (and some new) for the things I need to fill in my stash. (I have a set of 7 one-size gender-neutral fitteds I’m wanting to sell if anyone is interested! 😉 )
I may also need to get a new swing once I assess the extent of the flood damage on the swing as a whole. I’m looking at one like THIS because it plugs in (my current one does not):
In my spare time, I’ve been going through a few clothes tubs at a time and culling things we don’t absolutely need. I can’t believe some of the stuff I’ve kept over the years! My husband thinks I’m nesting, but I always do this…it just feels good after being down for so long with morning sickness!
Oh, and baby is the size of a mango, and next week is the halfway mark! Yippee!

We had the same swing just make sure your other little ones don’t try to push it when it’s on or motor will go out. Our 2 year old at the time liked to try and push it while the swing was on. We tried stopping him finally about the 3 time he stopped messing with the swing but it was never the same after that and adventually quite.

Yay! We were gonna wait and find out the gender at birth, but little man decided to literally wave his business in front of the camera! Boys will be boys after all! And as the mama of 4 boys and one girl I’m well aware of that. Lol! How much for your diapers? What brand?

Congratulations on another precious baby growing! A swing that plugs in has been the best thing we’ve gotten after our baby wraps/carriers (Moby Wrap for newborn, Ergo for after that). Baby #9 here is turning 7 months old soon and he actually was the first baby who didn’t like the swing whether it was turned on or off. He wanted to be stretched out on the floor or snuggled in my arms or anyone’s arms really. 🙂

Glad to hear you’re feeling a little better! With my last 2 pregnancies I took Now brand sunflower lecithin softgels and it REALLY helps with acid/heartburn. And you cannot take too much! There’s also granules if you can’t tolerate pills, but I can’t couch for the taste because I’ve never tried it.

I had bad heartburn with my last baby, but that was my only pregnancy with that problem. I hope you’re gets better soon.
I love that pack n play. They’ve come a long way over the years!

Interesting that your weekly fruit is a mango at 19wks…my app doesn’t put me at mango until 23wks. I’m also looking forward to sitting through old clothes when I get a chance; I’ll hopefully be finding out the gender on Wednesday!.

I bought the same playpen at one of our local thrift stores ( before I even knew I was expecting. ) I could NOT pass it up. i found a plug in swing at a yard sale before my last baby and it was so nice to have.

Hi! Glad that your ultrasound went well. What a cute profile! I know that you have written about how you and your husband look at baby’s bottom, but keep what you think baby is to yourselves. I’m wondering if you are always right in your guess or if there has been a time that you thought you saw one gender, but baby ended up being a different gender at birth?

So far, our gut reaction has been right…BUT, we always find ourselves second guessing…which keeps it fun! 😉

Amy, congrats! I’m sure you’ve heard all of the heartburn relief stories, but I’ll share my own help anyway. 🙂 I have been blessed with heartburn from the very beginning (sometimes before I guess that I’m pregnant) until delivery with all 7 babies. I drink a bit of apple cider vinegar – mixed with water – down after meals and right before bed. Once, I forgot to mix it and just drank it straight…wow. It was strong! When I get really big, like 38-39 weeks, nothing seems to cure my heartburn. However, this little concoction seems to keep it at bay all the other times! I’ll be praying for you!
