There is something about my children turning 5 that just makes me rejoice and cry all at the same time. I’m thrilled that they are joining the “Big Kid” ranks, but distressed to see the baby years disappear at the same time. Once again, it is happening.
The little girl you met in THIS POST and THIS POST is a whole year older and that makes her a whole hand! Happy Birthday Sunshine!
She picked out this bag…it’s as big as her!

She is a lot of fun to give presents to because she LOVES everything and it shows!
And, what began as cleaning the frosting off the lid…
Ended with an all-out lick-the-lid clean fest!
(In case you are wondering how I got birthday pictures so early in the day, it is because these are from the early party we had for her on Wednesday with Grandma. We’ll still celebrate today, though! Happy Birthday!!)

Amy,
I didn’t know you called her Sunshine. Abbie is our Sunshine. (Probably not super uncommon for little girls.) I find the 4-5 year range so distressing too. I feel so sad seeing those baby/toddler years disappearing! They change so quickly…
By the way, I love the new look of your blog – very pretty.

She’s beautiful. I had a similar wait for my little Isaac (and am waiting again for another baby. . . )
Amy, I’ve learned so much from you over the past year+, reading here and your posts on MOMYS. Thank you for using your gifts to serve the Lord and help other mothers in their calling. 🙂
