Friday was Ty’s Granny’s 82nd birthday (you’ll remember her from the Whole Wheat Bread post) For her birthday, we went thrift store shopping! And boy, did I find some treasures!!!
Gurkee sandals $.50
(I own a natural pair of these in a different style and LOVE THEM!)

soft-soled boy shoes $.50
(hey, Aunt Kris! Tell Elia I finally found some!)

baby food grinder $2.00
(this looks as if it has never been used! Great size to keep in my diaper bag when I either forget to pack food or want to give Micah something from the table)

butter dish $1.50
(maybe this will deter little fingers from playing in the butter)

teapot $1.50
(because I want to have more tea parties with my girls)

coffee cups 5/$2.00
(sometimes you just need a coffee cup that makes you smile)

coffee cups 5/$2.00
(sometimes you just need a coffee cup that makes you smile)

A new shirt for me and an awesome tie-dye for Micah as well! $1.50 total

and
2 shirts for friends…no pics of these because I’ve already given them away. One was purple (my favorite color!) and beaded, the other was a print and style that just looked like a friend’s daughter (isn’t that funny how we start to associate certain things with certain people?)
There were other finds as well (all things I really NEEDED…at least that’s what I tell myself! lol), but these were the ones that really topped my list!
I wonder if I can get by with going again this Friday???

Some really good finds! I love the picture of you and the baby.
Thrifting just makes such good sense and especially during this recession.
Plus the Lord wants us to be good stewards. And you even shared with others….
Good Job!

What a great thrift store haul! One pair of those leather shoes brand new would cost more than your grand total!
I need to be on the lookout for some teapots too, for some tea parties with my many little girls!

We live by a Goodwill store, and I go about once a week. I save SO much money that way!
I went to yard sales before I had my third child. Now with 4 there is no way I feel I can leave the family on Saturday mornings. But that is the best way to find 25 cent clothing.
It’s such a thrill to find a good deal 🙂

I really love the butter dish and teapot, especially.
You and Micah look fantastic in that pic!

I LOVE shopping at thrift stores. You found some good bargains! Also, a butter dish works great for keeping little fingers out of the butter : )

Don’t you LOVE thrift stores? Thrifting is one of my FAVORITE things to do!
Great finds! I love the picture of you and Micah (and Keian). You all look so colorful and HAPPY! 🙂
Cecily loves her shirt…. and like I said, SO DO I! She said I could wear it sometimes. 🙂 You’re right, it does look like Cecily.
Well, better get on with my day. So much to do I’m having trouble getting started.

Those are good finds! I never find anything at our local shops here in Monroe, LA!!! We are always looking for sheets, blankets, kitchen goodies and long skirts for the girls!! The goodwill in Farmington, N.M. was great! We loved going shopping there!
